Pattern Printing
Prepare an editable design file (Adobe AI or PSD format) for the umbrella supplier. If you don't have editable software, provide a high-resolution image file. Insufficient resolution or low pixel images may affect the clarity of the pattern or logo when they are enlarged for manufacturing custom print umbrellas.
Order Processing
Each umbrella manufacturer has a unique custom umbrella process, including production time, shipping methods, additional fees, and warranty policies. For time-sensitive or large-volume orders, understanding details and placing orders early is crucial.

Quotation
Based on the client's inquiry, we may offer suggestions on production. After confirming other details, then we’ll provide a corresponding quotation as well as a lead time.
Sampling
For orders with more customizing details, we will create a sample for client’s approval before proceeding to mass production. This is to avoid cognitive discrepancies between the finished product and client expectations.
Deposit
First-time clients will be requested for a 40% deposit based on the quotation. Once we confirm receiving the deposit, we’ll proceed with mass production.
Arrange Production
Once the order is confirmed, your custom made umbrellas will be directly manufactured in our Taiwan factory, from sampling to quality control, all handled by Jiayun.
Delivery
We will arrange a delivery based on the agreement with the client. Once the client receives the goods, they can verify the quantity, functionality, packaging, and other details.
Balance Payment
After confirming the order, the client will pay the remaining balance.

Umbrella Manufacturing Process
With many registered U.S patents and certificates, and providing Made In Taiwan quality, Jiayun ensures our custom umbrellas to its highest quality standard.

Fabric Cutting
Large Cut (First Cut)：Use of machine or hand-cutting to cut the fabric to corresponding width.
Fabric Edge Locking：After each fabric cut, the edge will be sewn with rolled hem on a sewing machine.
Small Cut：Lay the fabric flat on the table, then cut the rolls of fabric into triangular panels.

Canopy Assembly
Sewing：Sew eight triangular panels together into one complete canopy.
Topping：Secure the eight panels by sewing the top of the panels in a circle for five times.
Bartack stitching：Use a bartack machine to sew upper and lower canopies together back and forth in z shape with 42 stitches.
Tip install：Sew the umbrella tips onto the tip of the canopies by stitching around it 5 times.
Stitching: Hand sew the canopy by the folded edge onto each rib for secure attachment.
Topping：Secure the eight panels by sewing the top of the panels in a circle for five times.
Bartack stitching：Use a bartack machine to sew upper and lower canopies together back and forth in z shape with 42 stitches.
Tip install：Sew the umbrella tips onto the tip of the canopies by stitching around it 5 times.
Stitching: Hand sew the canopy by the folded edge onto each rib for secure attachment.

Umbrella Assembly
Frame Assembly：Combine the ribs that are tied onto the runner with the shaft, then nail them together.
Canopy install: Place a canopy over the frame, insert tips, then hand-sew the canopy onto the frame.
Stitching to Ribs: Hand sew the canopy and rib together at 1/3 of the point from the end tip to secure the canopy onto the ribs.
Handle and cap install：Insert a T shape cap then screw tightly. Then install the handle with Epoxy resin AB glue. After the glue is dried, lock it with a screw.
Canopy install: Place a canopy over the frame, insert tips, then hand-sew the canopy onto the frame.
Stitching to Ribs: Hand sew the canopy and rib together at 1/3 of the point from the end tip to secure the canopy onto the ribs.
Handle and cap install：Insert a T shape cap then screw tightly. Then install the handle with Epoxy resin AB glue. After the glue is dried, lock it with a screw.
step 4
Quality Check
Before packaging, each umbrella will be checked at our quality control department under below procedures.
Umbrella: Make sure the close/open mechanism is smooth.
Canopy: Make sure the canopy is clean and unstained.
Imprint: Make sure the logo imprint is correct and printed perfectly.

Packaging
Umbrellas that pass quality check will be sent to packaging department.
Tags: Put on Jiayun, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, MIT, and other certification tags.
Packing: Put umbrellas into clear poly plastic bags.
Packaging & Delivery: Pack umbrellas into cartons for delivery.
